Post subject:  TIPEC Discount on GAZ shocks
Following on from another thread I'd spoken to GAZ shocks, who have agreed a discount on thier shocks for TIPEC members. They do require an initial oder of 5 kits to secure the discount so I'm looking for interested parties, so if you're looking to upgrade or replace you shocks could you express an intereste here? Is this for any of their kits or a specific one? Not to fussed about going coil over on the back,as I can do without stripping & re-indexing the back. Also there are variations in spring diameter on the front.

I'm going to give them a call tommorrow and check all of the detail, so should have answers to any questions that come up. Initially the question was for a quantity of kits for 944 models. But I also asked if we could get a discount for TIPEC members, and they agreed. If you guys have any questions post them here and I'll take it up with GAZ tomorrow and post their response.

A Gaz gold kit would be very welcome here at a decent discount.
Certainly interested in knowing more - discount levels etc.

I'm interested! I have no idea which kit though as I havn't got round to looking - something similar to the KW.V3 in there? Would be the Gold or GHA?

A copy of the e-mail I sent today, waiting for a formal response.

Hi Mark, I spoke to Steve yesterday concerning a discount for members of my club The independant Porsche Enstusiats club, TIPEC for short. He offered a 20% discount if we could make an initial purchase of 5 kits. I have, so far 6 interested members but some questions have come up. Will the discount apply to any kits you supply as there are other members who own different Porsche. Will the discount apply to kits other than the gold kit we discussed. And can we continue with the discount for individual orders subsequent to the 5 initial orders discussed?, may be on production of of a tipec membership number? There seems to be a great deal of interest just after one day on the forum so I am keen to come to some arrangement as soon as possible.

Another interest here, although i'm out of the country at present so some international shipping might be needed.

Would these be the ones fitted by 'lofty' Ed China in the wheeler dealers trackday 944 ?

I called Gaz too and it turns out there are two versions of the Gold kits - one with ride height adjustment front and rear (coils F&R); and one used here recently by another member that has no coilover at the rear that requires suspension lowering work to get a drop.

The latter are the ones that I'd be interrested in.

Sorry guys I've been waiting for a formal response from GAZ. So far they have verbally agreed to 25% discount on all of their kits for TIPEC members. I'm waiting for a price list to publish but they haven't done it yet. They have also agreed to wave the initial quantity purchase of 5 kits, so we should get the discount on individual orders. As it stands they have production kits for 944, 924, 968 and have made kits to order for the 911 but not in production. Once I get a formal pricelist from GAZ I'll post it.

One assumes that if you can afford a set of GAZ shocks then you will have no trouble affording the incredibly small TIPEC membership fee so you should be O.K :mrgreen:
