just bought some front antiroll bar bushes and have noticed the inner ones are too big ,ordered 25.8 mm do you think i need the next size down which is 23mm

yes, the inner ones should be nice and tight. Just a tip for when you do get your new ones, first work out and mark the exact position for where the bush needs to sit. Then heat up the two central bushes, i did this one at a time by placing the bush in the sink on the plughole and allowing hot water to build up around, and run down the center of the bush, this will expand it, you then have a minute to slide it into position over the lumps and bumps before it contracts and locks so tight you'll need a blow torch to move it again, thus why its so important to mark the position beforehand, Some washing up liquid and water on the bar aswell to make it easier to slide.

Steve, As per PM the 23.5 bushes are a snug fit on the roll arb which is good, but the outside diameter on the flo flex bushes are about 5mm too big. Jim. |

have now ordered 23mm inner and 16mm outer ,is this ok?

You need to measure your arbs & order the correct size. There are around 3-4 sizes per 944 model so it needs the right ones. And don't assume a size is fitted to your particular car, mine has a 25.5 mm front which according to the books was never fitted to a 87 Lux! |

did originally order 25.8 front inner but was way too big and 21mm outer but again too big so hopefully will be ok with 23mm inner and 16mm outer cheers steve |

You need to measure both the end of the ARB & the inner & order the right sizes. It'll probably need a bit of a clean to get a good measurement. Or if you give me the dimensions I can probably give you part no's. |
