We had a trackday at Bedford yesterday, the car went well and was upsetting some cars that cost 50 times more..until we lost power and developed some horrid top end noises.

Before I start stripping down, are there any common faliure points? We had oil pressure most of the time, but it was getting warm and well worked.

I dont suppose anyone has a spare engine for sale? Does the 250 drop into a 220 without any grief???

:(

Hi John, have sent an e-mail about the 250 engine. I also have a good 220 motor that had a top end rebuild with rings about 15 K ago.

Great stuff, I'll go have a look for the mail, it never made it to my inbox.
