Ok basicly I park on the street, everyone down my home road knows it my car, but I washed it yesturday and today after work it's all dusty. Would a car cover help prolong the life of my hard cleaning work, keep off bird poo and uv rays. My dash is not cracked and would like 2 keep it tht way. And playing hot potato with your steering wheel is not much fun ethir. |

Hi, I wouldn’t recommend a cover if the car is outside, the movement in the cover from the wind could do more damage, like rubbing the paint work, I would go for a good quality wax, which one (that’s a new topic altogether ) with the hot steering wheel get a silver sun blind to go inside the window. |

I have a sun shade that I put inside the windscreen that helps. Leaving the sunroof open is good too. As to the dust. Thats just the weather. Will soon be raining again ![]() |

I had a cover that I used for a few weeks before I could garage my 944, but found that it was leaving stains on my white paintwork that took a few polishes to remove. |

I wouldn't use a car cover either, a couple of coats of polish a year is enough to protect the paint. To keep the dash in good condition I would apply Meguiars Interior Trim Detailer every few months. |
