hi
slight problem i have with my gearbox was hoping to get your thoughts.
Gearbox is sweet with no noise and when in gear is lovely it goes into all gears fine but the spring seems to have gone, meaning if you come out of fifth you will need to physically move it accross the box to drop a gear and it would be very easy to select the wrong gear. Is it something any one has come accross and any ideas,
I don't wish to swap the box as better the devil you know and other than this it is superb but is a very annoying problem any ideas or anywhere i could get it done would be very much appreciated

Jason

Jason, sounds as though your gear linkage on top of the box is seizing up. Porsche don't even grease the new ones they supply, you would hope they did that when you buy one for £106! You usually have to strip it off, clean it, grease it and put back. A right pain to get at with the box in place as the exhaust heat shield is right in the road (if it is still there!),
