Hi Guys,

Thought it was about time to get my 924 running and on the road, not sitting in the garage, so after 3 1/2 years I bought a new battery and a gallon of petrol only to discove the fuel lines had perished!! Sorted the fuel lines out and the car started after pressurising the fuel injection sysytem first time. One of the rear brakes had ceased due to rust on the rim of the brake drum, so does anyone has a pair of rear brake drums for sale for a 924 please?

Can't wait to get it on the road again.

Phil.

Hi Phil, you could try using some very fine wet and dry paper if the rust isn't too thick, otherwise Euro car parts do new drums for about £45 each or GSF do them at £37 each if thats any help?

Thanks for the advice Matt, but the rust is a bit to severe for wet and dry and the rims were starting to chip. I contacted a few suppliers today and several said the drums were special order and over £120 a pair. Bert at Berlyn can get them to me for Thursday so all should be OK now

For that price you could swop the rears over to disc if you can get hold of a secondhand set of rear hubs etc, just a bit of re-piping for the had line to the caliper.
