to day i fited the rad temp senour, removed air box and this was pretty quick and easy, took the cambelt covers off and had a little check on them as well. then i remba i had an oil sender uint i stupidly brought from the porcshe shop without checking the price, just added it on 2 the head gaskit set. so i thought are fit it as mine was sticking around 4 bar.
what a f*****g nightmere, spend ages under the car jacked up trying 2 get it off, after about an hour of having my hand thought the drip tray, covered in oil. i mand 2 remove it. while i was fitting the new one, the lug just snaped off! now these was £60 from the porsche and the lug snaped under finger tenson from doing the blot up which holds the conntor in place, so close 2 the end i nearly wrote it off a broken. i fixed but how long it will last? i used a spear bolt thead all the way on then screwed the snap lug in 2 the bolt. great but there only 4 theads on the bolt very weak conncetion.
oil pressure sitting at about 4-5 bar and 5 under acceleration. i havent drove the car much yet but wat sort of indaction should i expect?
just put clothes in wash and found a paper/card washer inthe bottom of the box. is this missing? will it cause problems if it is?
