Hi I have noticed over the past few weeks when I move of slowly on full lock I get a sqealing noise from the steering and I have also notice a bit of power steering fluid on the floor ua my power steering pump had it's day |

Is it more of a sort of groan? If so, they all seem to do that. At least the ones I've been in, anyway. Don't know about your leak though. |

Pressure relief valves groan, can sometimes be reduced or eliminated by draining & refilling with fresh oil. The squealing could be the belt slipping, quite common as the oil filter & cooler is just above it & any drips fall on the belt. The leak from the steering could be a union weeping which they all do. Worth a check around the pipework though as it is steel & does corrode. If it dumps its fluid then the pump seizes & you lose all the assistance. |

Thanks will check this week where is the union located the noise is a mixture between a squeal and a rumble only on full lock but if I leave it for a week gets fifty pence piece size drip of power steering fluid on the floor |
