Well I know the 1st brige spoiler wasn't all tht, but I thought I would chance the 968 hoop style. At worse I could enlighten the board with my reslut. So once it come and fitted I will post an up date. P.s the pro 9 turbo spilter seems ok, a little handy work with the dremial and it's looking quite good. Still needs smoothing out on the surface, but were it quite low it don't really notice. |

Well it came 2 day it's not bad but it's not ideal, I'm expecting some filler 2 get the level of fit I want, I will post up some pics. Center strip is really rough when offered up, but the rest seems ok. I phoned them about it and was told it's the same sirplier tht the Porsche shop use, and many others. Comes from a factory up in brimgham, which is were pro9 and club auto sport are allso based? |

Is this the late S2/turbo style bridge spoiler or the type that AerialAndy has fitted to his blue rocket? I was going to buy a complete tailgate with bridge spoiler fitted from Porschapart later in the year, but decided i like the look of the rubber item. |

Think it's the normal S2 hoop spoiler Rav. Only seen a turbo S adjustable one at Design 911. Never seen it on Ebay as a new item. |

4 peace hoop spoiler /ebay Been told that these spoilers are the same sold in the Porsche shop, one would expect little modification necessary. Wrong! But I expected this not 2 straight forward. The rear spoiler is on and took about 5 hours, biggest problem was something was out ether the main hoop was short or the centre peace was 2 long. With the centre strip been the roughs looking peace and easiest 2 shorten this was the route I took. 1st you need 2 fix the hoop 2 the side pieces, this is mounted by grub screws, 2 ensure a perfect aliment, I drilled the hole as close as it appeared starting with the marks on the underneath, then I made the holes more larger and keep offering it up then increase the size of the hole. knowing I was gone use a washer bolted down from above 2 hold everything were I wanted, this made the alignment adjustment much easier then drilling holes as once 2 take the screws back out the tread is lost and won’t pull the 2 peaces back together. However the large hole need 2 fit a socket in is also were the screw holes are in the glass hatch! And there 4 no longer any were 2 pull the sides down tight 2 the hatch. so I filled the holes with a filler that can be drilled and screwed into once set, but didn’t have anoth, as I had used this 2 refill the test holes created when 1st offering up the spoiler 2 the hatch, b4 gulling down with uinbond serious stuff, couldn’t find any skiaflex. 2nd Bonding the sides I used uin bond serious stuff. About £10 so I spotted the glue from the gun in places along the hatch and had 2 rubber clamps 2 hold in place till set, however the glue wanted 2 hold the sides slightly off the hatch glass and with only 2 clamps per side wasn’t another 2 hold it tight and moventher it in 2 the exact place I wanted. The side pieces are quite thin and easy 2 manipulate in 2 place. So I screwed the sides down thought the existing holes in the hatch. Then the next day once the glue had set I cut of the points of the screws till they were flush with the sides. the worse bit is the center strip not lining up and i need 2 fill betwwen the glass and the spoiler in places but u can only see this fron the top of the hacth down (back of the spoiler) |

That looks pretty good. How thick/strong is the fiberglass? Can you put a link to it. Thats the one I should have bought instead of refitting my old one. Should look the muts nuts when you get it all painted. ![]() |

Jj I'm not sure what you mean by link? U asking about were I brought it from? eBay it's the only one on there, on postage is 18 and the other is 20 ? I'm sure there the same company. Same phone number. I haven't seen a real 968 inperson but from what I can see in pictures, the center peace under the hoop spoiler, ends in line with the indentations on the rear pannel of the car, where as this is silghty more towards the boot lock. It don't sit flush with the body, step out slighty towards the back, which I think would always be the case, seeing as with out any spoiler on the glass is flush 2 the body. I was really srutinsings over it yesturday and in places it seems 2 stick out more, but thts just been really picky. All can be sorted if u adcpet it as a starting base and not a finsh product. Painting will need 2 be done while mounted 2 the car now, if removed it will need re guleing and all the wholes re filled the re drilled as there no good once the screw been taken out. My last one I removed and fitted raw plugs so I could paint then refit. Why there not sirpiled with the fitting and contact points all ready is amazine! It's lighter in weight then ome rubber one, I thought the car looked good without any spoiler at all. Thickness and stiffness. It's about a 1-2 mm and I would say 3 on the ends. Delevery was quick 2-3 days. I hope this can be off help. If anyone would like 2 ask anything just phone me 07525374985 |

Is this it? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Porsche-968-944-924-4-Piece-Bridge-Spoiler_W0QQitemZ300363169291QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item45ef0a3e0b If so it's half the price of a porsche one & looks a good fit. Too late for me but might do somebody else some good. When I needed one this was not available on ebay! |

Different pics but the wording of the advert is the same as the one for £80 listed on Ebay last year when I was looking but now twice the price. Looks like to much drilling, filling and fiddling to me, I'll leave that to you more mechanically adept guys. Has anyone fitted a Porscheshop supplied one to compare the fit and finish. Cheers for the info and effort t3rra. |

Hi jj no that link is the bridge style, which is wat I had b4, just had the last 2 peices. Which if any one wants 4 free? Painted red, good coulor macth, but neededs a proper job as it was slightly soft when I re instold it. Is going free! Just cover the postage price, it's nearly 200 pounds at Porsche shop without the center strip. Iv got both. It's the hoop style, £120 and 350 on Porscheshop. Yes tht would be very intersting, I know in the USA over at rennlist brackets have had 2 be made, 2 get there fittment and boot lock is some how blocked. Guess there's 2ways 2 find out, ask the Porscheshop what's required 4 fittement, I.e process and if the sides are fixed by bonding or screwed, And if it primed in grey or White coulor ? P.s I also made a tool 2 remove the side peaces, a screw driver with the middle cut out. It's make sense if u look on the inside of the hacth. |
