I’m in need of a pair of front wings for my 944 Turbo.

Has anyone got a set sitting in the garage, before I go and spend some money on fibreglass replacements?

You wont like the fiberglass ones. You tried the breakers? Or available here.http://www.944online.com/cgi-bin/ASI_Store.cgi?Product+skukey_1000479+944turbo+body-944turbo Could be expensive though!

Tony, you can come and browse the selection I have in my yard if you want a look. I have 3 cars for breaking with S2 / Turbo wings. All need some repair but nothing too bad. I can also give you a DIY course in how to repair them as well if you want! I also have a mate with a paint shop too! PM me if interested!

Thanks guys.

I’ve decided to replace with new instead. Because the wings and sills are one of those areas of the car that is very susceptible to rust and with even the very best condition existing ones being twenty years old by now, I don’t trust patching them to last as a permanent repair. I’d rather pay out for perfect replacements now and have it last another twenty years than re-do them every five years down the line.

Cheers for the offers anyway, really appreciate it.

I’m know I’m being picky wanting to go with new rather than make repairs, but I think it’s worth it given the wet climate up here in Scotland. I’m hoping to do this once and then never have to worry about bodywork again.

Once I’ve got all my parts ready, I might be in touch about that paint shop Alasdair!

Durability hinges on the protection that you apply to the inside surfaces. Ive seen plenty of new wings (when they were only £250 ea.) thatve only lasted for a couple of years before corrosion became evident.

I can’t believe how expensive new standard steel wings are nowadays. £1,120 + delivery for a pair!

Ones from the states have the best chance to be rot free, Only problem is you have to pay for a wooden crate to ship them in.
