Sadly , I have been forced to take practically the whole of March off as I havn't used enough of my outragously large holiday allowance

Now I can't spend the whole of March playing / practicing golf or sorting out this years veg crop , though I really do need the golf practice

As a result I'm wondering is anyone going to or can they recommend any Porsche trips / car events meets days out in March ( in the South East up to the Mids).

March seems a bit dead on the car events front and the weather 'could' be good !

Regards Mas

Hi Mas,
You’re more than welcome to join us at the karting evening on the March 22nd, that’s only if you’re no good at it
No seriously, we have 10 members racing at the moment but the more the merrier, if you’re interested its £10.00 deposit and the balance of £35.00 on the night, PM me for the address to send the cheque if you are up for it.

Its 10 minutes qualifying and then a straight 30 minute Grand Prix, food and drink are available and the best thing is it’s our March club night so you can meet Team South Central :D

Although I was looking for days out that seems very sociable.
I have been hopeing to come and say hello to the South Central anyway as well as visit the East Anglia meet so may well take you up on that. Sadly I am a bit in between regions so long drives after work arent that appealing in the winter and I havn't made the effort.
No work in March ( yippeee) and it's spring so no lame excuses are available

Cheers Mas

Any idea how one can book for the Coventry. It would be rude for me not to come considering I may as well live in Coventry.

Coming along depends on the car's cooling system being finished (rad is in, but the heater matrix I'll be starting on next), and how much spare cash I have.

Hi Mas,

Not Porsche-specific, and I don't know if any region is planning an organised visit, but Race Retro is on at Stoneleigh Warwickshire (the former Royal Show establishment) 12-14 Mar.

Last year Central organised a trip there. More historic sports and rally cars than you can shake a stick at, and loads of trade stalls, so if ou have any interests there worth checking out.

I went to Race Retro last year. Superb show. Well worth going again.

Ive been to coventry motor museum and it was great,I will go again :D There is always gaydon car museum too?
I also want to go to the Morgan factory sometime this year as I have heard that it is a good day.
Finally what about the classic car auctions at Leominster on 24th march, always a good visit as you get to touch and sit in all sorts of fab cars.

Totally off topic I know
( perhaps I could get away with I'd like to be going ther in March !)

Pleeeease dont mention Leominster again. I was lucky enough to leave the S/East and live in Herefordshire a few years ago and lived 11 miles down the A44 straight run from Leominster. I used to do the car boot in their car park in the summer. Classic car auction and ,decent cider farm , rugby Club, the River Wye ( exceptionally nice) beautiful countryside and hills and more all just down the road.
All mention of the place should be banned now for the sake of my sanity :(

If you look close my T5 and a young Mastiff are lingering on the driveway and she our the only Mastiff from then surviving now , the T5 is the only car surviving too.

Selling that house was one of my larger mistakes.

I 'may' still end up living near there again, if i'm in the U.K

Cheers

Mas

Though coming to Devon is a 'very' appealing invitation , if you check my posts you will see I have no experience with spanners whatsoever so wouldnt be of much use to you m8ee.
Computers , CCTV , Electronics in general , even duck breeding ! and many other things I do have skills in but fixing cars sadly not as yet, so anyone who fancies a day out at Mastiff manor make sure you bring your spanners with you lol

Best of luck with it anyway

Mas
