Hello all, took the 944S for an M.O.T today and was actually nervous, not because I thought it would fail but because of reading John Ward's post "M.O.T story" and seeing DaveM's reply "glad to see your 944's not bucking the trend".
No pressure then! Anyway it sailed through with no advisory's :D :D :D I was also was told how good a car they actually are and how "solid" mine was off the garage owner, especially as he repaired my brother in laws Cheverolet Tacuma last week with over a thousand pounds worth of damage after his cam belt pulley let go with only 40,000 miles on the clock!
He also had been topping up the coolant level in his Peugeot 206 over a long period of time after a small leak but hadn't used any antifreeze and started the car up in the icy weather we have just had and bang! Frozen water pump, smashed valves etc etc. Two knackered engines in one month!
P.S my brother in law was one of those people that took the p#ss when I first looked at buying my car because it was an "Old Porsche"
