Hello all, just a quick one. I have just got a centre cap for my nearside front wheel for my 944 as it has been missing since I got the car and it wont go all the way in and sit flush and this is also the case for the offside front wheel yet the rear wheel caps sit nice and flush. I have turbo twist wheels (I think) and the rears are 255 and the fronts are 205. Am I just being thick or is there a reason for this? Also has anyone got a pic of turbo twist wheels so I can finally know if that's what I've got? Thanks.

Hi,

When you fit the centre cap, you need to align the centre cap so its 'square' on to the alloy wheel. Once you've got it aligned, gently slap it into position using the palm of your hand. It should fit fairly flush to the wheel.

Don't try to fit one side of the centre cap in first then the other. You'll only end up damaging the centre cap, the alloy or both.

Hope this helps.

Is you car an early pre ABS setup one?, the hub sticks out more on them

Try the back caps in the front and vica versa to see

Just a quick update in case it helps anyone in the future, I eventually realised the prongs on the back of the caps were too long so out came the junior hacksaw and I took about 3mm off each prong and sanded any rough bits and hey presto they now sit nice and flush. Thanks to all who replied.
