Just found some good vids on youtube for changing the front bearings. Also covers the front pads and brake discs too.

Planning to do my front brakes soon. May attempt the bearings. Thought the vids may be of interest to anyone planning to do theirs. The vids are for a Turbo S, does anyone know if this is the exact same procedure for an S2?

Mike, yes it is. The bearings can either be dead easy or a right royal PITA! Mine took an hour & a half of swearing & I ended up heating the hub. Pauls car was much easier.

As stated usually either really easy or a PITA I took mine to my local (none Porsche or Indie) garage and they did both fronts for £130 including materials and VAT, took them about 2 hours and I thought it was worth it as I knew I would not be lucky enough to be able to remove my old races easily and could already see the bloody knuckles and tears.

I think its front right that is going. It's not too bad, so not urgent yet. I may buy a second hub that I can work on and get it ready to make a quick swap over. I don't want to get half way through and find I can't do it and only have 3 wheels. It'll probably cost me the same to do it myself as to get it done at a garage but at least I will have a few more tools and will give me a wee project to keep busy with.
