Hi, What mileage should the cambelt be replaced? What about tentioners etc? Paul |

4 years or 40K seems to be the general numbers although I've seen 3 years & 36K. IMHO it is down to whether the car is a daily driver doing high miles or a weekend toy doing low miles. Low mileage/intermittant use should see reduced intervals in my view. Most do all the tensioners & idlers at the same time & some specialists suggest changing the waterpump every other belt change as well. |
