I bought some rear light tint spray and painted my rear lights yesterday and I must say they make a difference to the appearance of the car(without cheapening)
I have also painted the wing repeaters and front indicators too which if it was to look bad I can remove the spray with aditive.
Its a cheap upgrade worth a try. :D

Unlucky Lindsday. I’ve had smoked lights (including reflectors) on my last two 944s and never been pulled. My MOT tester always reminds me that they’re a failing point, and checks that I have a spare set of untinted ones in the garage. Very reasonable of him, I think.

PC Plod only gave me a verbal warning, this was about 8 years ago, i then bought 2 small round motorcycle reflectors and fitted them, no future problem

I have smoked lights on the back of mine and I can't stand them. Looks rubbish on a blue car and doesn't help that one is darker than the other.

Anybody got a normal set they don't want? ;)

I've tried removing mine with white spirits, the only thing that would shift it was wire wool followed by a dremel with a polishing pad. About an hour of that got me a red reflector and not much else.
