Hi Richy, measure the distance between the wheel and top of wheelarch to see what sag there is with the suspension unloaded. Use plenty of penetrating oil on the 5 bolts that hold the aluminium plate on as they are usually well seized in. Worth renewing the bushes while you are in there as they will be well worn by now. Clean up and paint the torque tube while you are in there, the brackets where the trailing arm mounts on to the large diameter tube alway seem to be rusty! Just where you don't want it. Plenty of anti seize on the ends of the torsion bars as well when you put them back in, they can sometime be a pig to get the end cover off after all this time. Heat always works! I would drop the whole lot off if I had to do it again and refurb the 2 main mounting bushes. Also a good time to get into your jacking point if it needs any welding repair. Alasdair
