Hi Folks

New to the forum, but not to 944 ownership. First was a 944 lux in the late eighties. Current is a 1990 944 turbo which I have had for eleven years. Mild engine mods by AMD (Geoff Evertt) who was the 944 turbo guru of the time, inc chips and moded wastegate. 287bhp @ the flywheel and 320Ibft torque. Although that was eight years ago, maybe lost a bit since then.

Anyway the old girl is showing her years especially around the sills. They really could do with replacing. My options are. New sills from Porsche which are not cheap and apparently a nightmare of a job for the body shop to fit. Or Club Autosport do a sill replacement panel which is welded in once corrosion has been removed. Anybody had any experience with the above? Your comments will be most welcome and hopefully help with my plan of attack.

Hello, Can't comment on the sills but I've bought a front end in fibreglass from them & they were very helpful. Seem to know what they are talking about. All the best with the repair. :)

Hi

Welcome to the forum.

The Club Autosport solution sounds ok, they are very busy which is always a good sign.

Hi ya & welcome to the forum. (Get some pic's of your '44 on.)

Yes, I've had my sills done by the guys at Club Auto Sport & I'm very happy with the result.

I would recommend them, but if they quote a week to do something, give 'em two.
