I see the 968 Club sport with the supercharger is for sale again at a slightly reduced price. Purely out of interest how much ( yes I know piece of string) but how much might one pay to have a 968 supercharged and a bit of intercooler and brake updating. Cant see there would be much change out of 10,000. I'm sure this chap has spent a lot more and I suspect if I drove the car it would blow me away. Sadly I dont have 20,000 lying around at the mo , or fortunately I dont would possibly be more accurate ![]() Regards Mas |

Stephen , if I were loking to spend 20 G on a car at the mo TBH , I'd seriously consider it but I'm not. I have other things the dear lady would like me to spend it on such as a kitchen ! . Mind you as I told her we do have a kitchen. Of course she could cleverly reply " you do have a Porsche my dear " ![]() Looks like some machine though doesnt it ? What about a turbo conversion on a 968 , anyone know a realistic cost for either purely curious ?? |

If it was £15k I'd be very tempted, even so I'm not sure the car is the finished article just yet. |

JMG BUILD 968 3.0 Turbo S! January 2007 JMG are well known for our special request cars that we build for customers. Back in the 1990's Porsche made a very limited run of Porsche 968 Turbo cars and even fewer 968 Turbo S cars, using a 3.0 version of the 8 valve 944 Turbo engine. So when one of our customers asked us to convert his 3.0 16 valve 968 into a race built 968 Turbo, we did just that and now its done!!! |

Richy_S wrote: Was it successfull? A one off? Where is it now?Details? Was it a 3ltr 16v turbo?Price?Pics?Rich It's in the London area owned by Nick_968 from the 968UK forum that you're on too Rich. It's a faithful recreation of the 968 Turbo S, using a brand new factory 3L block and 944T 8v head but with a bigger Turbo and full Motec standalone ECU. It runs very well, but Nick is an absoute stickler for perfection and the intake temperatures were a bit too high for him so he spent a lot of time and research getting a custom built intercooler combined with the radiator. It looks fantastic in the flesh, dark blue and Speedline 18" rims like the genuine article ![]() |

Meaning you need steel rods & more importantly forged pistons to survive at those levels. Future owners of these conversions have fund that power levels are a lot lower than claimed. On my conversion when I get on with it, I'm looking for 310BHP running around 5PSI of boost & an intercooler on an otherwise standard engine. |

Just want to add I'm not being pedantic about the 2.7 head just interested if anyone is using a modded turbo head with the 3.0 type block in the U.K. Paul. |
