Post subject:  K-Jet injector seals

Hi guys, was wondering if you could help me out? I plan on fitting some new injector seals on my '24 at the weekend ( had abit of a fiddle last weekend only to find no. 2 injector was a bit wobbly but others seem to barely move), but having never fitted new injector seals to anything before, whats the best way? Have heard of soaking in petrol, using fairy liquid or petrolium jelly to fit?

Any words of wisdom greatly appreciated.

Matt.

Vaseline would be OK, let us know how you get on.

The old ones can go hard, normally they come out with the injectors.

If they are really old, they can be snapped in two and will fall off the injectors, if they are not so old but will not slide down, cut them with a razor blade or stanley blade

the new ones normally roll onto the injector without any problems, use a slight smear of general purpose grease or ideally silicone grease to aid fitting if need be... do not use wd40 as it will degrade the rubber in the o-rings.
