Just heard from the mechanic doing my S2 clutch that the cheapest place he could find for the rear gear linkage was Porsche centre in Leeds something to do with the Euro/Pound exchange which apparently Porsche have not yet capitalised on. Might be worth trying them if you need any parts, I know Simon our RO has always made mention that sometimes the Porsche official centres can work out cheaper and this now seems more true. |

Very often the case from my experience. We get 10% from OPC Tonbridge & they post or deliver for free. |

Bristol give me 10% discount. But charge £4 for courier delivery. (not that bad?) |

How the heck did you manage to get parts from them? They never know what I want even if I give them the part no. Then they tell me that if the part is wrong or faulty I still have to pay for it. Gave up & use JM garage instead! ![]() |

I did not speak to them directly this time it was the mechanic doing the work, but I have always found the Porsche centres to be reasonable and understanding, indeed I have bought stuff from the one in Newcastle and usually odn't have to pay for delivery if not a significant package. Never got any TIPEC discount though but probably my fault I always forget to ask. |

Don't bother going there now, but unhelpful and arrogant fits for those guys. Also asked them to give me a call when the 2.7 Cayman was available to buy ... still waiting ![]() |

Always pleasure getting parts from opc sutton coldfield or solihull. Sutton post parts to me at no charge, both give Tipec discount, always phone back as promised, and are courteous and helpful to talk to. Cheaper and faster than Porscheshop who mark up the official price. Don't know about the 4-cyls but with 928s parts often have to be ordered from Germany. Last week Solihull had a single 70mm bolt sent overnight from Zuffenhausen which was fine value at 90p! |

Both are helpful chaps, and helped me a bit with the history of my car ![]() |

The guys in the parts dept of OPC Chester have always been really helpful when I've been sourcing parts even recommending who I should try if they couldn't help me. |

They used to be ok about 15 years ago but in the last few years have been very poor,my uncle lives near newcastle but will not used them for the same reason.Everything i want now from an opc comes from exeter porsche in devon as you get free postage/discounts and they go out of there way to help you even if its only a 50p clip that you need ?? |

I get free postage, and TIPEC discount (Ok, I have to remind them occasionally about that), but I never have any problems even ordering small cheap clips. They even managed to source the exact number that I needed of light grey trim clips to hold the carpet inside the hatch on my 968, even though these are normally only available in packs of 10. I can only comment on my own experience with the Newcastle OPC Parts Department, but I am more than happy with the service and they are generally my first port of call when I need a price for spare parts. |
