Well she's back home at last (for now). Big Thanks to Jon Mitchell and team for setting up one hell of a car. Collected this morning just before the Ferndown OPC photo shoot competition thing so got a quick go from Jon's to Ferndown. WOOOOWWWWW ![]() Works done then - New clutch master cylinder 9xx road rear shift 9xx road front shift Replace clutch slave and flexible hose New vacuum kit with brass connections New intake boot Flush clutch fluid system and replace with racing spec fluid 9xx stage 2 chip set and map 9xx stage 1 33mm Dual Port Wastegate (modified tial) 9xx dump valve (modified Bailey) 9xx induction kit (fits right behind the intercooler) 9xx boost improver 9xx breather kit including oil catch can, breather filter and fittings Replace air flow meter 9xx 55lb fuel injectors (works upto 380hp) Porsche motorsport fuel pump Porsche motorsport fuel regulator All that's left now is the full exhaust system and I think I'll better stop before I need to sell body parts to fund this addiction ![]() With all the handling work put into the car last year she goes, handles and stops brilliantly now, like I imagined she would go when I got her. I better do some cosmetic work next I think but I better let the old restoration fund build up first ![]() I'll put some pics up of the engine bay when I've given it a clean ![]() ![]() Andy |

Sounds great! Just be careful on cold tarmac with a lot of leaves about. Easy to get mine sideways at the moment with a lot less horse power. ![]() |

The power and handling is brilliant at the moment though, I've just got to get the soundtrack to go with it ![]() Andy |

The linkages are changed in the gearbox at the rear and the gear shift action at the front. The change is quite dramitic with a very short, dare I say modern, shift action. I got in the car and changed gears while Mark was under the car adjusting the links/rods or something until I got an action I liked. A personalised throw action if you like. They do a race shift aswell which has hardly any throw on it at all but you have to be very precise apparantly when shifting. The OPC guy had a go when manouvering the car for the photo's and liked it a lot and asked what had been done. £200 for the upgrade seemed reasonable as it's something you use all the time ![]() Andy |

Cheers for that Andy, Just as well JM is about 380 miles away from me as i could end up spending some serious ££££, still get tempted to ring him though as i do have so go faster goodies fitted and want to take it a bit further ![]() |

Any reason you went for 55 lb injectors not 72? They seem to be the same price and the latter allow for even more mods (like you'll need it!) Dare we ask how much that little lot came to? Most of it I'd love! |

Glad to hear another good report on that sort of mod. I've stopped after the wastegate, chip and EBC until I've replaced/recon'd the brakes and suspension, but was thinking of uprading the fuel system next with FPR, pump and injectors. I think you've just confirmed it. |

Right I'm back. Sorry for not replying to your questions, which you've all probably forgot you asked by now, it's been a bit manic with digital switchover work coming in. Gotta take the work while it's here to pay for all this stuff. Power gains Unfortunately the dyno hasn't been working for a while at Triton and so Jon didn't do any comparison tests. What he reckons is the engine was very healthy firstly so was near it's original 250hp. These modifications generally takes the engine upto around 330hp. I'm still waiting for the exhaust so a bit more to go on yet. I'll get a dyno run done in the near future when I've got some more time and money ![]() Respray Lindsey, respray in red, NEVER ![]() Injectors For the drive quality I was looking for 55lb injectors are quite sufficient. Mark did try to explain to me how they all worked together but to be quite honest I'd just driven the car and was in a bit of a daze ![]() ![]() Costs Ummmmmmm (looking over shoulder to see if Mrs P is near) Put it this way I'm keeping this car and will never sell, it's my 9 year olds inheritence because she loves it and cleans it more than I do so looking at it that way you can spend £3k+ very quickly ![]() Insurance After emailing a complete list of works and photo's it cost an extra £40 quid so I'm upto £200 a year now ![]() Andy |
