found this, i know its a bit tacky http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PORSCHE-944-87-88 ... 3ef94749a3, otherwise keep an eye on ebay, or phone around breakers, altho' you may have to wait a while as these are brittle and break easily (ask how i know !), i think they are called or known as dash clock trim

Part number is:

945 552 435 00 - strip for switches

Try calling your local OPC for a price.

This site:

http://www.germansportscarspares.com/pr ... =8&filter=

has it listed new for £17.

When removing it, watch out for the inside edge. That’s the brittle and often-broken part.

You need to remove the heater panel face and undo the screws holding in the heater controls, because those screws also pass through into the end part of the trim piece. A lot of people don’t realise that and snap off the end two screws instead, meaning that the inside edge is no longer fixed on. Looks messy and causes rattles.

Im suprised at the prices of Porsche parts in general.

Some of them a lot cheaper than parts I look for on my less desirable cars.

Quite a few of the well known specialists buy from OPC then mark parts up, always start with OPC for prices, in the same breath they wanted £49 for a rotor arm !
Same thing from Bert Gear at Berlyn about £16 (Bosch)
