Im thinking of fitting rear seat belts in my 1986 944 Lux.

Hi Bob,

I have retro fitted a couple of 86 cars.

Two point statics are fairly easy as the threaded mounts are there under the carpet. You only have to make holes for them.
Three point ineria reels are much harder.
A car that has been fitted as standard with these has the following differences:

1. Interia reel mounting brackets welded on at sides of the the hatch
2. Relocated boot light.
3. Different boot carpet on the sides of the hatch with a bulge to suit the reels.

So a two point set up will be the one I fit.

Best place to find them ?

Hi Bob

Search E-bay and try places like Frazerpart and Porsche apart.
Porsche shop sell generic static ones which fit but they are expensive.
