thought the standard 1989 paper speakers in the 944 were pretty muffled and tired (I'm a bit fussy as I work in the 'audio' world) but never listen to music 'carefully' in the car, so I bought 4 of these ikle alpines and fitted them today.

Great sound for £66 upgrade. the rears were easier than I thought.. Just a bit fiddly :wink: especially when one of the pins falls off and you've only checked after putting 80% of the bits back :evil:

I never spend alot on car stereos. The complete system is now worth £166 pounds..but to me THAT'S PIMPING :lol:

Mine came with a Kenwood. But I only ever listen to the engine. How sad is that. :)

I never turn the stereo in the Speedster, just listen to the sweet music made by the 3.2 air cooled lump. :laughing5:

i doubt i'm even sticking a radio in mine, or speakers in the new door cards...

I've none in the rear now, just a RS carpet set.

if i need any, ipod and h\phones will do fine :D

After years in a 105db elise having a stereo feels like a well deserved luxury. I'm finding the squeeks and rattles are drowned out by my stereo. From that point I'd call them FIXED :lol:

Why would ya wanna listen to a Kenwood? It would come in handy if you wanted to do some cooking on the move though. :lol:

It's because Halfords don't stock a stereo and speakers with pink fascia's. :colors:
