Hi,

picked my 944 S2 today and drove 150miles without any problems......... BUT!!!!!! The sunroof release doesn't appear to work to remove the roof..... i got the guy to knock another £200 off for this so hope that will cover it.

Can anyone clarify that I'm trying to release it correctly please????

1. Turn ignition to first position
2. Press open on sunroof switch until it releases.......

Nothing happens....

Am i trying to do this correctly or is it broken??? If it it broken is it a easy/cheap fix or is it going to be a pain??

any suggestions?

Cheers

Spen :(

If it's been mis-used it may have stripped the teeth on the plastic gears. I was warned about this with mine :(

Thanks for the links Jim.... really useful.

The sun roof does work i.e it goes up and down.... but releasing it so it can be removed isn't working if that makes sense!!!!!

I'm going to take a look and see if i can sort.

Thanks Again

Spen

The Clarks guides above should have all that you need, but from memory your problem sounds like the sensor in the centre front of the sunroof is kaputt. It needs to sense that the roof is there before it lets the arms retract - if that makes sense????
