thought someone may be interested. my trip to lancs to see the 968 was a no go. personable chap but as soon as he started the car i heard an alternator bearing rattle. not a deal breaker but if you put it up with that what else ?. also noticed straight away a peeley non porsche paint job even though i checked its not cat c,d. shame as i would have driven it to porscheshop saturday ;p apologies re the typing am on train home

If I saw a good 944 Turbo 'S' I'd buy it matee I definately wouldnt discount one by a long shot.

Just got home and am knackerd after 7 hours of trains plus driving back to our village etc , need a drink

Are you still coming up to Porscheshop Mas?

Drive both a 968 and 944. They both drive quite differently despite being similar cars under the skin.

I have driven both now , obviously I've owned and enjoyed a turbo and test driven a 968. I love them both and as you say they are different but great cars. I really tried hard as you can tell to have another Porsche in time for Porscheshop day but I failed , I think half the fun is meeting up and convoying in don't you ? so I really dont think going up in the D5 would be quite the same , its long way to go to show of your Volvo isnt it . Mind you I do have a T5 estate that's quite a beast and will keep up with many a car on the motorway, not a very economical beast though heeheh.

I am hopeing to go to the Tipec East Anglia meet to say hello to some folk on Tuesday though I dont think anyone on this forum goes as far as I can tell ?

I also have my classic car show tickets so I hope to meet some TIPEC folk there too.
