http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1290161.htm Don't know anything about the company thats selling this. But if it's been done right it would be somthing of a bargain. Looks quite tidy in the pics! Of course it will only be as good as the work done on it. |

If I was looking for a track car , I'd have to consider it , as you say how dear can 4,000 be ? . I have wondered why folk don't club together to buy something like this on top of their regular Porsche. You cant use a track car all the time and so as long as you had 3 or 4 good mates at a thousand each how could they go wrong. Has anyone or any club ever done this I wonder. All your bills would be a third or a quarter too. People I used to know did it with boats with no problems at all as you couldnt all use the boat every weekend. Just something I thought was interesting , nothing more as I dont personally know any porsche folk. Regards Mas |

I think if you club together you have to be very very good mates with the group. Few of my friends have done this and bought a BMW between them and the problem they have is getting passes from the other halves on the same weekend to work on the car and the escalating costs. It needs to be all agreed beforehand. Its ended up with one of the group doing pretty much all of the work on the car and the others enjoying it at a track day. |

Problem is who pays if you bend/break it. Was thinking more of a daily drive myself. |

I've done the track thing with a couple of mates on a Peugeot 205 GTi. Although I have known them for a very long time. |
