Has anyone put clubsport recaro type seats (polepositions or similar) in their 944? are they comfortable for daily driving or just for track use?

Any fit problems, i'm tall so need my seat right down to the minimum - this would not work for me if it gets raised up to much.

Thanks for input.

Find somebody locally with a club sport and try out the seats.
It is the only way to be certain that they are for you.
Depends how much padding you have on your a**e and the hardness of your suspension.

Even being short I find it a problem wearing a helmet.

I'm 6'-2" and the Recaro rep at the Autosport show last year told me not to buy Pole Position seats because the harness hole were too low on my back! They were quite comfortable though. I was planning to go somewhere like Demon Tweeks and try a load of seats out before I buy. I think the Sparco seats have larger harness holes and the Motordrive seats come in 3 different sizes so I think I'll end up with one of them.

I bought a set of original recaros as fitted to the 968 CS for my 968.
The UK manager of Recaro found me some in a storage area in Germany - Absolutely superb - comfortable for long distances, my wife even drove the car whilst 6-8 mths pregnant.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for a 968, but don't know how the driving position differs in a 944.

If your keen, i might be able to forward you the Recaro MD of UKs e-mail address :-)

I have Recaro club sports in my Turbo S, i think that they are supberb especially on long journeys, they can be a PIA to climb in and out of so everyday use could be a chore and i think tall peeps may struggle with them 6ft plus.
They are very expensive if you can find a set !
They are also very light both of mine will still be lighter than a single standard fit seat .
They are supberb but do have some drawbacks like entry and exit but once your in them you are at one with the car :D
