Hi all, jumped in my 944S about an 90 mins ago to pick up our chinese :D and it wouldn't start! It turns over but just wouldn't quite fire up, so instead jumped in my wifes smart car complete with heart patterned steering wheel cover  when I got back I decided to try again thinking I may of flooded it and this time it fired up. Problem is it is running like a bag of arse (feels like not on all four) took it around the block to see if it would clear but it didn't. I was out in it two days ago and no problem. Just to let you know in case it makes a difference it has been raining constantly for 3 days here in Manchester. Any ideas? Thanks.
Andy Bruce.

Do the DME 3 wire jumper trick as outlined in Clark's guide and see if that improves matters.

Also, when was the last time that you changed your spark plugs. They are meant to be changed every 12k with ideally the Bosch items.

If you can get 12K out of a set of plugs your doing well! 6K's the limit for me & it goes loads better with a new set. Fit NGK myself.

Mine used to do 12K as a daily driver but now barely do 2-3K now it is a second car. Always NGK as well.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Just to give you a quick update I went and had a look under the bonnet the next day armed with a can of WD40 and sprayed all around the spark plug caps and dizzie cap whilst it was running and this cleared it slightly but still not 100% so had a closer look and noticed a crack in one of the HT leads, gave that a good spray and hey presto it started running sweet.
So now wondering if I replace that lead should I also replace the others as a matter of course? Also do I have to buy Porsche items? only they're £35 each!

Got my leads rotor arm & cap from German French Swedish. with discount for club membership. Ran alot better after fitting. You need locktite on the screw for the rotor arm. Not big money. You can also buy them from porsche shop etc. You should do the lot! :)

My lead set & rotor arm & dizzy cap were from Bert at Berlyn. Made a huge difference especially when damp.
