Hello,

Just joined the club after deciding to trade in my trusty Golf and go for a 944 as a daily driver (cue comments about my sanity from friends and family) but life's too short so I'm going for it. Club membership pack is on its way but in the meantime does anyone with an S2 or a Turbo live near Cheltenham, or are there any meetings coming up soon? I'd really like to have a close look at one (and a quick drive if anyone's feeling generous) but I can't find one for sale within a sensible distance.

Whilst I'm waiting I'll be reading all the posts and making a checklist of what to look out for - that's the whole idea of joining up first, so I can learn from your mistakes, cheers!

Providing that didn't offend too many people, then I'll be looking forward to your replies and getting stuck in with the club.

Anyone interested in a 2001 Golf TDi (130bhp version)? Great condition, 101000 miles. Silver of course - i've had enough of silver cars, they're everywhere these days.

Roger

I am based in Swindon and often enjoy a spirited drive past the red balloon pub at the top of Cheltenham.
Car will be available next week - i hope. Its an early 944 turbo (220bhp).

PM me if you are interested.

Forget distance. If you want a good '44 you need to travel. Trains are good!! :)

If only I told you last week where I was (Tewkesbury at a mate's wedding!).

If you are near the Warwickshire area at all at any time let me know and I'll let you have a butchers at mine.

Welcome to the forum Roger.

Personal opinion, but I agree with you about the silver cars. You only have to scan our car park - all the company Mondeo's are silver!!!

Hope you find what you are looking for - they are a helpful bunch in here and at the TIPEC meets.
