 Post subject: reference senders

TIPEC membership: 0
Why does the 944 have two crank/reference senders right next to one another? is one for the ECU and the other purely for the rev counter? Ive had about 40 different cars inc alot of other old german stuff and never seen this set up before.

AA man told me it was to help make the engine run smoothly. More often seems to stop the engine altogether :(
