Hello everybody again!.

Got 1 rear drum done and working and working on the other side, and got back to fuel, got a new banjo nut and decided to see if the engine would run. To cut a long story short we tested the fuel pump and it is shot at, about 100ml in a minute, so got an old Merc 190E pump (never had a Merc it is for something totally different!) and hooked that up, and to my joy it runs!! a bit rough but not bad for a 6-12 months standing!! :D :bounce:

Back on topic though, where can I get a cheap fuel pump or what is it the same as, if not that what pressure is it? (It would be handy if someone had a good 2nd hand one lying about) 8)

also found a new problem in the rear drivers side suspension arm mount area of the sill/arch is rusted, more work! but I have solved the fizzing wires thing, a lighting switch or in the lighting circuit!.

I think these Bosch pumps are pretty generic, so anything from a car of around the same capacity & power should be OK.
Might be worth changing the fuel filter as well because no one normally bothers on Fi cars.
