Its been parked up about 5 months, Just changed the water pump and coolant but the temp gauge runs very low,When I park up the fan runs for around 10 seconds. Is that normal? Also I have just changed the gearbox oil for some £50 stuff from BERLYN , I can hear some transmission noise from the rear, again is this normal?....all I driven for years is front wheel drive and my old S2 was a rag top so noise didnt really come in to it. |

Sounds like you may have an air lock. Have another go at bleeding it and make sure the heater is in the hot position. Clarks Garage has a guide to bleeding if needed. I had the same issue with the gbox - assume you used Swepco? It made my S2 gearbox more noisey - thinner oil may be I dont know. When I changed the oil on the Turbo gearbox used Valvoline fully synthetic and it was great at half the price. Rich |

Which grade of Valvoline was that Rich? I'm looking to be changing the fluids in my car soon. |
