Its been parked up about 5 months, Just changed the water pump and coolant but the temp gauge runs very low,When I park up the fan runs for around 10 seconds. Is that normal? Also I have just changed the gearbox oil for some £50 stuff from BERLYN , I can hear some transmission noise from the rear, again is this normal?....all I driven for years is front wheel drive and my old S2 was a rag top so noise didnt really come in to it.

Sounds like you may have an air lock. Have another go at bleeding it and make sure the heater is in the hot position. Clarks Garage has a guide to bleeding if needed.

I had the same issue with the gbox - assume you used Swepco? It made my S2 gearbox more noisey - thinner oil may be I dont know. When I changed the oil on the Turbo gearbox used Valvoline fully synthetic and it was great at half the price.
