Hi everyone,

I posted this a while ago but I've got more information now. Sometimes when driving my S2 with vigour I get a weird low frequency humming particularly in 3rd gear. I can often hear same said hum in 4th and 5th gear when driving at motorway speeds. When the noise occurs particularly in 3rd gear, if I depress the clutch pedal fully and re-engage the clutch, the noise disappears. Sometimes I get the same in 4th and 5th gear but it can be intermittent at times.

The gearbox feels slick enough and the car pulls away well on the clutch and is not slipping. Any ideas from the wealth of knowledge out there?
