I put my 1991 944 Turbo through the NCT last week and it failed, the n/s ball joint had to be replaced. I half expected it to fail if honest on this and so be it.

Thinking it was just a simple ball joint I went home happy. Dropped the car over to the brothers workshop and a day later he calls to say its part of the control arm, looked around for prices and near shit myself.

I live in a Ballyboughal village in North Dublin, Ireland. And the guy I bought the car of Cameroncars.com told me there is a chap in Ballyboughal who services all his porches, he also has a great pink racing 911.

The crowd in Ballyboughal is called askracing.com and I paid them a visit, what a sound bunch of lads and they know their shit about 944s. They must have 20 prepped for track and to my delight they have a bundle of spares/ broken 944s.

I got a good 2nd hand control arm for €50 and also the gear for the sunroof, so I'm feeling a little lucky.

Just thought I'd share that with any other Irish 944'er out there then again they probably already know!
