Hello All.
I have the original wheel on my car at present that needs refurbishing. I have been looking at some Porsche Boxster S type 17" Alloy Wheels with Pirelli P Zero N2 Rated tyres, 205/50/17 Front & 255/40/17 Rear and wonder if they can be fitted to a 944S2. If they can would the ride/handling be affected or should i stick with my original wheels?
Many Thanks,
Ken

Hi Albi.
Are they a straight swap? Have you any photo of the wheels on your car?
Thanks

The should be a straight swap onto an S2. You do need to make sure your suspension bushes etc. are in good nick & it would be better with 968 castor bushes. A geometry setup would be beneficial as well.

Agree with Jim, 968 castor mounts and a laser setup is a worthwhile inverstment. It makes the world of difference when going to bigger wheels. I run 18" 225/40 at front 265/35 at rear and I was disappointed at first until I got the 968 upgrades. Rubber compound also makes a difference to ride quality. I've just changed all four tyes from Michilin Pilot Sport Cups (which are still in the parts for sale section, any offers :D ) to Falken FK452 and the ride is much much improved.
