Hi,

Had a service done and since the idling has been low. How do you adjust the idle speed?

Paul

If its a 924 DO NOT ADJUST THE SCREW ON THE END OF THE CABLE

''The idle speed is set by adjusting the idle speed screw, which is a brass screw located in a boss in the front of the throttle body. Do not adjust the throttle stop, which is located on the top of the throttle body, and limits the throttle cam’s return motion. It’s marked with a paint stripe. This is not the proper location to adjust the idle speed; it’s only there to prevent the throttle plate from completely slamming shut against the wall of the throttle body''

Depends on the car, later ones S & S2 & 968 are controlled by the DME, early ones are adjustable but NOT on the throttle cable.
