Hi guys. Just acquired a new rear hatch with turbo s adjustable spoiler. Have bolted it on to see what it looks like and I'm very pleased with the racey look it gives the old girl, will certainly come together nicely with the JMG performance mods going on in couple of months. Just deciding what colour to spray spoiler, colour coded to match the blue bodywork or satin matt black like the bridge spoilers on later 944/968 models. Give us your opinion :D

Andy, either has to be body colour or black. I've gone for body colour.

My S2 bridge spoiler is colour coded. It was originally black but was resprayed Cobalt Blue.

My opinion on yours - round the hatch should be black and the spoiler body coloured.

Body colour looks the business. Not seen one of those before. Very impressive! 8)

Thanks John and BAW924, didn't think about black around surround and blue for spoiler. That sounds like a good plan and thanks everyone else for confirming what I thought about keeping the blue colour for the spoiler. Can't wait now to get on with it :bounce: :D

Mine is different. On mine the spoiler covers the frame. 968 bridge spoiler. I did the frame body colour because of that. On yours the frame is seperate so black would be good. If the spoiler is black it won't stand out. Porsche probably only did them black to save money. :)

Took the two side pieces on the sides of the frame and the flat piece running under the bridge off today to clean them up and prepare them for painting. They weren't fitted very well. There was loads of dirt, little creatures and old dried sealent stuff sticking them on under there. So these parts will be matt black. Going to find out if spray shop can do the bridge part while it's still attached to the frame or have I got to grind the rivets off and drill them out. Theres 3 down each side holding the bridge onto the frame.

My bridge spoiler is satin black and I think looks pretty good but with the adjustable spoiler, I think you right body coloured for the wing and black for the surround.

I agree with most posts here surround black (satin) and spoiler colour coded to match the car.

The early bridge spoilers were satin black with colour as an option.
See photo below of my old 1992 968.

Well guys Blue Rocket is back and I'm very pleased with the results. What do you think for £250 quid, thats the whole hatch with spoiler and respray. Now just got to get a wiper motor from JMG that fits in the whole through the glass because this hatch seems to have a 5mm smaller whole than my old hatch so the shaft for the wiper wouldn't go through :?
Then also press Jon to get the 'Fabspeed' copy 3" exhaust made up and then the chips and turbo upgrades can go on  :bounce: Should be just in time for our late Indian summer to enjoy :?

Have to get some cleaning done at the weekend aswell  Didn't realise she was so dirty.
