Totally covered in it. Stuff gets everywhere & sticks to everything except what I want it to stick to. Refitted my bridge spoiler this afternoon. Not very professional but the car looks loads better with it on. Hacked it off the old boot lid frame in the bedroom while the mrs was still asleep. (what you doing? Nothing. tap tap tap.) Went well until she got up to go to the loo & got glass in her feet Shes very long suffering

Resealed the bath to the wall on Friday (my day off :evil:

) I think there was more silicone sealant on me than on the bath. I could commit a crime at the moment & leave no fingerprints :mrgreen:

Had a look at it this morning & it's not so bad. Compared with the 4K + to replace the rear hatch. Or the similar crazy money I was quoted to refurbish my original with no guarantee it would be any better I think it's not too bad. All it cost was a couple of sticks of stickaflex & £10 for an old 924 hatch off ebay. + some new pins. (Trashed the bedspread putting the glass in. :lol:

) It doesn't rattle or leak any more & it opens & closes fine. I use the thing every time I go out so it's a big improvement. Would have been a lot easier with a garage to do it in & another pair of hands. Got a motor somewhere to fit so I can open it from the button. Mrs JJ has calmed down now. :alien:

Had so much trouble with my hatch realigning I've bought a replacement off Ebay complete with Turbo S adjustable spoiler for £150 quid. See if I can get this one fit better

I hope it's come straight off a car! Glass isn't completely solid. If it's been stored on it's side for any length of time it can reshape itself. Take the pins off & check your original to see if it's a good fit. Sits square & touchs were it should. Then start again with the pins. Unless your original needs resealing I'd stick with it. Are your pins bent. You can tell as soon as you turn them. If pins are new it will have to be spot on or it will be difficult to open. Buy it won't open itself.
