Hi All,

Got some new front tyres on my 968 Sport as the fronts where bald on the inside edge with plenty of meat on the rest.
Previous owner had obviuosely set in negative camber for handling. Came up as over 1 degree negative on front (back was ok). Got them to put back to standard (neutral) so I won't wear the new tyres out so fast.
Did notice not as grippy and bit slippy on the front on way home, but I opted for two Falken FK452 (on hearing good reviews) to go with the Goodtear F1 Eagles on back.
Probably be better ones they've scrubbed in more.
Anyone else have opinions on camber on these cars??

Anyone going to Bromley Pageant Sun??

It's how you drive. And the type of driving. In a straight line negative camber will wear the inside edges. Driven hard on track or on twisty roads the wear will be even. But your licence will be endorsed! Don't push it with the new tyres until there scrubed in or you will spoil them. You will soon get used to it the way it is.

When I got my 944T done last March they set the camber as -0.24 front n/s and +0.17 front o/s. On the rear they set -1.02 n/s -0.54 o/s. They said they always run a bit of negative camber on front as this due to handling and tyre wear issues they've had in past. Jon Mitchell agreed so I went with what they said. Certainly car felt a lot better.

Hope Falkens tyres are good for you, I've just ordered some aswell :bounce:

Steve, you'll need a small amount of negative camber to sharpen up the cornering. Assuming you are not doing mega mileage then you need a bit of neg to sharpen the handling. I think the book figure for the 944 is 0 to -0.30 Deg. The racking will change as you alter camber as well.

Yup I have 11 cars from SELNK going, are you doing one make parking? We have a 15 Car stand if you can get to stand A1 (I think) then you're welcome to join us. We're meeting at the Locksbottom Sainsbury's at 07:45.

Yeah Jim,

My mate has booked for one parking. That is just in the car park and not on a stand yeah?

So how do we get on the stand you have if we've already payed for the parking??

Where ever we find ourselves, a meet up Locksbottom sounds good.
