After 3 months of wondering what to get as my next car and looking at things ranging from a clio cup to 350z and e30 M3 in between i finally decided to get a 968, and now that ive driven it for a couple of months i think ive made the right decision.

The first couple of weeks i was wondering if id done the right thing, its not the quickest car ive had, and its older by a fair way from what its replaced, but thats not the point this thing is the most drivable car ive had to date, the engine is eager and punchier than it should be, the grip and handling are excellent, these cars have got to be the most underated and overlooked cars on the road.

When you compare it to a e30 M3 that nowadays cost a lot more than they are really worth makes it good value, its possibly faster aswell! bonus.

It has got a couple of issues to sort out yet but nothing to major for a car of this age.

Going to treat it to a track day at the end of the month, so ill see if anything falls off.

Just thought id share my thoughts.

M

Congratulations on your new baby. When I had my 968 initalty I was not impressed but after a while the good points shone through. When my brother sold it at Tatton Park while I was getting a hot dog. I was shocked and disappointed. For a good while I really missed it. Faststic lights too!
