Post subject:  Slipped the clutch - crash

This morning while waiting to make a right turn, some how I managed to slip the clutch. Worse still I ended up planting the gas and my beloved shot off with a fish tail and ran into a ditch. It all happened within seconds.

The good news is no one was hurt, no other cars involved and hopefully only cosmetic damage.

Called my insurance company, they garage is sending an accessors out to view it tomorrow to make sure they have all the parts that need to be replaced. From what I've seen the lower bumper/splitter took the blunt of it and it has a few cracks.

Fingers crossed, still fuming but tis just one of those things

Glad to hear no one was hurt. Hope the car is not too damaged. I have to say I was not used to that kind of accelerator floor pedal when I first got the S2. Very easy to jab it a little too much by mistake and get a big boost of unexpected power. Did it in the supermarket car park and jerked the girlfriends neck, fortunately the car was ok though. Hope you get it sorted.
