 Post subject: Independent Porsche Specialist in Essex

Hi Can anyone out there recommend a good specialist in the Essex area (near Chelmsford) to carry out a routine service on my 944. I've just got the car, prevoius services etc have all been done by Hartech, but this looks a bit too far away for me to continue with, so to keep the service folder looking good and up to date, I'd like to continue with someone just as reputable but a bit nearer home.

Hi there

I live in Chelmsford and i use Autostrasse in Coggeshall, very knowledgeable guys, and helpfull.

They are usually very busy also which is a good sign.

i agree autostrasse are very helpfull,drove in their place one day was worried about some thing in my water thats the car 944s2 thought start of oil and water mixing!asked for some advice he put it on the ramp dropped the oil crawled all over the engine checked the oil said nothing was wrong said greasey feel of water was the antifreeze even renewed the washer on the drain plug,filled it back up with the oil,i was embarresea no funds on but a ten pound note no even plastic he said how much have you got on you i said a tenner he said that a will do.
cant beat that sort of service.they also know a good body repair and restoration company went there could not beleive the cars they work on you name it it was there from today back to the turn of the century :D
