Hi all,

I recently picked up a 944 S2, thats a bit cosmetically tatty, but the mechanics are sound.

There is one thing thats not working as it should.

The warning lights are not being displayed. I have no master light, water temp overheat, handbrake etc. I DO have the ABS warning and seatbelt warning.

Im hoping its just bulbs gone, but if not, is there a fuse or relay that controls this system? im new to the 944, but im assuming the sensors feed to the ECU which then lights up the dash/

Well done on your purchase! :) Post us some pics. As to the warning lights. Mine had virtualy no bulbs in it as the previous owner had taken them out rather than fix it! Possible that a fuse has gone if you don't have any. Takes some time to get the clocks out but you can do it with the wheel in situ' if your careful. 3 multi pin plugs to remove & you have to be good at brail to get them off. One at each side & one on the right hand side in the back. They have secure clips that have to be released. Just takes time & care. May just be that one of the cables isn't clipped on right. There a pig to get at! :) If your anywhere near me can point you in the right direction. Have to take mine off again as a label has apeared out of the milometer so you cant read the mileage.
