Post subject: | Question about front shocks on 924s |
I suspect my 924S Le Mans is on it's original front shocks - it has the original adjustable front units - like the attached photo ... I'm going to replace all suspension rubber at the front as it generally feels sloppy. How do I determine if the shocks need replacing? Corner bounce test? How do I tell if the top suspension mounts are shot? I see these inserts from GSF - P44010 SHOCK INSERT BQ GAS FR 924 49.80 and these from Eurocar Parts... BOGE Shock Absorber (Front) 924 S (Coupe)Years: 09/85-06/88 Engine: 2479cc 8v 4Cyl £58.48 has anyone any experience of either ? I'm thinking I need the GSF inserts to retain the adjustment on my originals. Another option would be to re-seal my originals. Does anybody in the UK do this kind of work at reasonable price? Steve |

Hi, to me they look like adjustable coil over dampers, not the standard non-adjustable type dampers the cars came with (correct me if i'm wrong), so the inserts from GSF or Euros will not fit in your damper bodies. It may be worth looking for a makers name on the dampers and getting in touch with them for a rebuild? It could also be that they are on their softest setting. Matt. |

The 924S Le Mans came with different suspension. |
