Post subject: | 944 Headlights |
Can anybody tell me if all 944 cars have the same headlight assy ? I have a 1991, 944 S2 and its had problems with the headlights since I got the car. So this weekend I decided to sort it out. On stripping the lamps down I am amazed that it passed it,s last MOT. So many parts are corroded or missing its a wonder the lamps stay in the housings. I am thinking about buying some second-hand units off Ebay to use for the refurbishment of my lamps. So hence the question. Thanks in advance. ![]() |

944 S2/turbo headlamps are NOT the same as the other 944 models. The S2/Turbos have electronic adjustment, and the depth of the brackets are also different. And guess what? They are also more expensive. (New, or used.) ![]() |

Adjusters were incorporated for the 1988 model year onwards and the same lamps were used in 2.5l/2.7l cars along with S2s and Turbos. |
