Hi all,

I've just recently picked up a 1991 944 Turbo, there is a small leak from the rocker cover gasket close to the bulk head. Can someone tell me if there is a lot of work involved in replacing it, or should I leave it back in as I got 3 months warranty engine & gearbox.

Thanks in advance,
Aido

Is it the cam cover or where the cam box sits on the head. The first isn't too bad but the second is head off time, which will mean belts & all the other hassle.

Agree with Jim. Well done on geting a '44. Unfortunately the cam box gasket will mean a new timing belt. Fairly common. I've cured mine with a cometic gasket. Stock ones didnt last above 10K miles on my lux. (Same engine.) How big a job it is depends on who worked on it last! Not big money anyway.
