Hi all, I've just recently picked up a 1991 944 Turbo, there is a small leak from the rocker cover gasket close to the bulk head. Can someone tell me if there is a lot of work involved in replacing it, or should I leave it back in as I got 3 months warranty engine & gearbox. Thanks in advance, Aido |

Is it the cam cover or where the cam box sits on the head. The first isn't too bad but the second is head off time, which will mean belts & all the other hassle. |

Agree with Jim. Well done on geting a '44. Unfortunately the cam box gasket will mean a new timing belt. Fairly common. I've cured mine with a cometic gasket. Stock ones didnt last above 10K miles on my lux. (Same engine.) How big a job it is depends on who worked on it last! Not big money anyway. |
