anybody replaced the rigid fuel lines from the tank forward? ifso where did you get the pipes from and how easy was it to thread the pipes in? iv,e thought of just using copper piping and the relevant fittings which are available from RS or other engineering suppliers. anybody got any opinions on this subject.

Hello,

Never done them on a 968 but have on many other cars.

Always used copper pipe and fittings from http://www.frost.co.uk and never had a problem.

I presume the fuel pipes on your car go up the transmission tunnel which I can see being a problem depending how they are secured in there.

Might be better to post over on 968uk Jeff for the more specialist knowledge they seem to thrive on over there

I changed the fuel lines to copper on my 944 S2 about 5 years ago. I know it was a fiddley job, but I managed to do it with out dropping the axel.

A lot of people do this using flexi & compression fittings, save dropping the back axle & all the grief that it entails.
